William "Miracle" Ivy

William "Miracle" Ivy was a 17 year old boy who passed this weekend. He was my friend. We played soccer together and he eventually became one of my bestfriends. On Friday night he lost control of his car and it rolled and went airborne into a telephone pole. He was in a comma from that night until late Sunday night when he didn't pass a taste and they pulled the plug. He was one of those people who impacted everyone's lives just by talking to them or by sitting by them in class. He was the kind of person who brought a smile to your face just by giving you a hug or saying, 'It will be alright." He went to Northwest High School, so not many people here knew him except one person who played soccer with him as well, but even she wasn't as close to him as I was. She doesn't understand. Everyday I get on Facebook and there are still people posting things on his wall and talking about memories they had with him. William "Miracle" Ivy will be missed.

My Little Sister

My little sister, Sydney, has become one of my bestfriends. Although she is only seven, she can always make me smile when I'm having a bad day. For example, the other day when she got off the bus, the first thing she said was, "Shelby I love you. You know that right?" It absolutely made my day 10x better. She is the kind of little sister who makes me want to pull my hair out at times, but turn right around and just spend all day with her. She is in to the same kind of things I am as well. Music, clothes, hair, tv shoes, movies, games, etc. and it makes it a lot easier being around her as well. Sydney is the type of little girl who for her birthday will go to a hospital and visit a bunch of sick people instead of receiving abunch of gifts. She may just be little, but she can do so much.

Demi Lovato

My idol is Demi Lovato. Whenever I tell people that though they always look at me weird. "Why Demi Lovato?" they ask me. It started with her being on Barney. Yes, Barney. She had always wanted to be a singer/actor so after that she was on Sonny with a Chance, Camp Rock, Camp Rock 2, Saved By The Bell, and many more. Things started getting bad though when she started receiving a lot of hate from fans. Well so everybody thought. It had actually been going on for awhile, but it really hit home once she had been on Disney for a while and her abusive dad tried coming back into the picture. She started cutting, drinking, drugs, and anything else that would "help the pain go away". She finally went to rehab and now she isn't afraid to talk about what happened because she wants teen girls to know they are beautiful know matter what anyone says. She has come so much farther now than before when she did let what people say about her get to her.

I Broke Into a Gas Station

Over the weekend my friends and I may have broken into a gas station and got put in jail until our parents bailed us out. Now the hard part, explaining why we did it. The problem is it was for a perfectly good reason. Lately someone has been breaking into gas stations all over town and stealing every piece of chocolate! Me and my friends of been studying the patterns of the burglaries and figured out which gas station they were going to next. Our plan was to sneak into the gas station and wait for the burglars to come. After that we would restrain them until the police got there, arrested them, and we would get  awards for saving the town and free gas and candy for the rest of our lives. Well, turns out the police had been tracking the robberies too and were waiting at the scene. They mistook us for the bad guys. They wouldn't even listen to our cries of explanation about how we can't live in a town without any chocolate!

3rd Quarter Technology

This quarter in Technology I learned a lot of different things. One thing I learned is how to cite a picture. Another thing I learned is you can set your desktop background four different ways. There were some things I liked and some things i didn't like though along the way. One thing I didn't like is how distracting some people in the class are, it makes it kinda hard to work. One thing I did like though is that Mrs. DeBolt constantly had a stream of projects ready for us that were fun to do. There was never really a time where you were sitting there doing nothing unless you were waiting for the rest of the class to finish. This quarter I also became better at typing which is exciting for me because with our society nowadays that is going to be a very useful skill. This class has been very beneficial to me and I am glad I get to do it for another quarter.

Little Mix

Little Mix is a four person British girl group formed on the X-Factor 2011 and it includes Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pennock, and Jade Thirlwall. They have two hit singles called DNA and Wings. They have one album out entitled DNA. When they won the X-Factor they performed their first single entitiled Cannonball. Perrie is dating Zayn Malik from One Direction and that's how I know who they are. They originally auditioned as solo acts for the X-Factor, but were put together in a group because their voices weren't strong enough alone. At one point in the competition Perrie was told by one of the judges that because she has such a strong voice she should be the lead singer, but she refused. They are now the best of friends and are completely inseperable.
