2nd Quarter

I like technology. I liked learning the different things we could do on our computers. I am not really a computer person but now I know how to do a lot of cool stuff. I liked doing the Microsoft Excel picture. That was probably my favorite project we did. The directions were okay but a little frustrating. To be honest I didn't really like doing the word documents but I learned a lot so that's all that matters. I learned a lot of cool things I could do to the pictures and texts of my project. Obviously I don't like the vocabulary but I thought I'd put it on here anyway. I liked writing on our blog. Our timed typing tests were okay but I didn't really care for them.

The Basketball Game

Ok people so the thing is, I obviously play basketball. If you read my other post it was about how mad I was when our game got canceled. Well the Patosi game also got canceled. So I was mad. But last night we played Desoto (I don't like someone on that team). We smoked them 20-10. I played most of the first half until I got my third foul and coach took me out. I am TERRIBLE at fouling. I went back in for a minute or two in  the fourth quarter and didn't get any more fouls. Desoto is an aggressive team and I'm really glad we beat them. We play Crystal City tonight. It's an away game so we won't have that many festus fans tonight. They beat Desoto. I really want to win. Wish me luck!

US vs. Europe

I think Alain de Botton is right. The US wants everyone to be unique or special and not the same. Europe wants everyone to be the same. I agree with America's belief that we should all be different. My country has no right to tell me who I have to be or what to believe or think. So obviously I agree with America. I think Europe is looking for a way to control their people. I have my rights and I don't think anybody should be able to take that away from me. It's just a matter of time before more conflict between countries happen and we go into an all out war that leads to world war 3. That's what I believe anyway.

How Kelsey Gets Mad

I am mad because my basketball game is canceled. I am very upset and now I have to ride the bus home. We have worked very very very hard for this game and now I have to wait all the way until next week to play. Ugh. I'm pretty much just complaining to myself right now. But I was really excited for this game and now I get let down because of the dang snow. It's not even snowing! I mean come on already. If it is going to snow it better happen fast so I can leave school early. No but guess what. Our pep assembly is today so if school is let out early I won't even get to go to that. I hope there isn't school tomorrow. Because we don't even have a game tomorrow. Ugh.

Narnia

I stare at the seven doors facing me. I know where each one goes but I can only choose one. I step towards the second door and put trace my fingertips along the brass doorknob. I gently pull away and continue walking. I reach the fifth one and I shiver. I grasp this doorknob more firmly and squeeze it until my knuckles are white. This is the door. A cool breeze flows in from the crack under the door. I ever so slowly creak the door open and peek my head in. I step out into the snow and look at the yellow light of the lamppost. Its shines bright in the darkness and I hear the trees whispering in the wind. I have reached Narnia.
